To ensure a smooth and respectful learning environment for everyone, please familiarize yourself with our school policies regarding strikes, absences, tardiness, and family volunteer participation.
A strike system is in place to address repeated policy violations.
Three Strikes: A family accumulating three strikes will be ineligible to register for the following school year.
Termination for Major Offenses: The school reserves the right to terminate a student's enrollment immediately for major offenses. In such cases, all outstanding fees must be cleared and any damages paid in full.
Strikes can be issued for the following reasons:
No-Shows (for both students and parent volunteers)
Absences
Tardiness
Minor Violations
No-shows apply to parents for their assigned volunteer tasks. A no-show is defined as either not showing up for your assigned task or arriving late.
Avoiding a No-Show: You can avoid a no-show by arranging a substitute volunteer for your absence.
Cancellation Notice: If you cannot provide a substitute, you must provide seven days' notice for any cancellations.
Volunteer Deposit Charges: A fee may be applied towards your $200 volunteer deposit for no-shows that cause an impact on your signed-up task:
$10 for minor impact
$25 for moderate impact
$50 for major impact
Assessment of Charges: The volunteer team will assess these charges.
Deposit Adjustment: Any charges applied during the school year will be subtracted from your $200 volunteer deposit when it is returned or applied towards the next school year's deposit.
Punctuality is crucial for student success and respect for others.
Tardiness Strikes: Three instances of student tardiness will result in one strike.
Minor violations are triggered by student behavior that goes against school expectations. This includes, but is not limited to:
Not following instructions
Damaging school property
Disrespecting teachers and Sunday school staff
Violations and Strikes: Three minor violations will result in one strike.
Family participation in volunteer service is a cornerstone of our program.
Minimum Service Hours: Failure to complete a minimum of three volunteer service hours per family in a school year will result in the withdrawal of the enrolled child(ren) from the following school year's enrollment.
Program Integrity: This minimum threshold is critical for maintaining the operational standards and community engagement integral to our program.
